KHOMDRAM JOYKUMAR SINGH & 45 ORS Vs. STATE OF MANIPUR

JUDGEMENT

(1.) Heard Ms. G. Pushpa, learned counsel for the petitioners as well as Mr. N. Kumarjit, learned AG, Manipur for the State respondents.

(2.) Pursuant to the Notification dtd. 10/5/2016 issued by the Director of Health Services, Manipur for recruitment of several posts under the Health Department, Government of Manipur, the petitioners appeared and participated in the selection process for 62 advertised posts of Pharmacist (Allopathy). Thereafter, the petitioners were declared successful in the selection process and their names appeared in the list of recommended candidates by the Selection Committee which held its meeting on 19th and 20/12/2016 as notified in the Notification dtd. 20/12/2016 issued by the Director of Health Services, Manipur.

(3.) Consequent to the Notification dtd. 20/12/2016, offer letters were given to the petitioners and police verification were also carried out. Thereafter, as no appointment orders were issued to the petitioners, they are before this Court praying for a direction to the respondents for issuing appointment orders.
