JUDGEMENT

(1.) Heard Shri Juno Rahman, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner.

According to the petitioner, certain lands belonging to the petitioner and its members are required to be acquired for the expansion of NH-102/ AH-01 for which, a re-assessment survey was conducted on 21-02-2020 on the basis of which the Deputy Commissioner/ Deputy Collector, L.A., Chandel wrote a letter dated 16-03-2020 to the General Manager (P), NHIDCL BO-Imphal praying for taking appropriate action towards the release of the amount assessed at Rs. 6,95,83,380/-.

(3.) The grievance of the petitioner is that the aforesaid amount has been assessed by the Joint Survey but has not been released till date and being aggrieved by the inaction on the part of the respondents, the instant writ petition has been filed praying for release of the said amount.
