JUDGEMENT

(1.) Heard Mr. Tushar Mehta, learned Solicitor General of India for the applicant assisted by Mr. Lenin Hijam learned Addl.AG as well as Mr. N.Kumarjit, learned Advocate General for the State. Also heard Mr. Kh.Samarjit and Mr.Julius Riamei, learned Amicus curiae.

(2.) M.C.(PIL) No.16 of 2019 has been filed by the Loktak Development Authority seeking permission of the Court to initiate the process of NIT to implement Loktak Inland Waterways Improvement Project.
