ANURAG SHANKHDHAR Vs. STATE OF UTTARAKHAND

JUDGEMENT

(1.) This Bail application has been filed under Sec. 439 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 for grant of regular bail in connection with FIR No.254 of 2019, registered with Police Station Bahadarabad, District Haridwar for the offence under Ss. 409, 420, 467, 468, 471, 120-B of IPC and Sec. 13 (1) (d) read with Sec. 13 (2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988.

(2.) In the scholarship scam, in compliance of the letter dtd. 17/4/2018 of the Home Department of the State of Uttarakhand, a Special Investigation Team was constituted under the Chairmanship of the Superintendent of Police (Crime), Haridwar. Mr. Shailendra Mamgai, Sub-Inspector, was a member of the said Special Investigation Team. After enquiry, Mr. Shailendra Mamgai, Sub-Inspector, lodged an FIR on 23/11/2019 against the owner/manager of Om Bio Science Technology, Roorkee, Haridwar.
