M.THANIKACHALAM, J. - (1.) Common Order The unsuccessful complainant[s] in CC.125/2004 and C.C.126/2005 to CC.132/2005, on the file of the District Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum, Srivilliputhur, are the appellants in F.A.113/2008 to F.A.120/2008, respectively.
(2.) In all the cases, though the complainants are different, opposite parties are one and the same, except the deposit amount and claim as shown in the table below and the deficiency alleged as well as negligence attributed are one and the same. Therefore, though the District Forum has passed separate orders, by consent of the parties, all the cases are taken together and common order is passed, thereby this order shall dispose all the appeals.
(3.) The complainant[s] have deposited with the opposite parties, on various dates, several amounts, as shown in the table, having maturity period and maturity value. Despite the fact, deposits were matured as indicated in the table, the opposite parties have not paid the amount, despite repeated requests and issuance of notices, thereby they have caused mental agony and other sufferings, to the depositors/complainants, for which, the complainants are also entitled to compensation, as claimed in the complaints independently, in addition to the matured amount, for the deposits along with interest.
