S. N. Pathak, J. - (1.) Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and learned counsel for the respondents.
(2.) Since issues involved in all these writ petitions are similar, hence, they are being disposed of with a common order.

The petitioners in all the four writ petitions have approached this Court with a common prayer for quashing the order dated 20.10.2011, so far it relates to the petitioners, issued by the Chief Engineer, Subarnarekha Multipurpose Project, Icha Galudih Complex Adityapur, Jamshedpur (respondent No. 2), whereby the promotions given to the petitioners in the Junior Selection Grade and Senior Selection Grade have been amended/ cancelled and excess salary drawn on account of promotional posts of Junior Selection Grade and Senior Selection Grade has been ordered to be recovered after about more than 22 years of promotion in Junior Selection Grade and more than 17 years of promotion in Senior Selection Grade on the ground that petitioners were entitled for promotion from the date of their passing of Accounts examination.;
