In this application, the petitioner has prayed for a direction upon the respondents to appoint the petitioner in the rank of Police Constable for which he had applied in response to Advertisement No. 1/2004 but his name was not included in the list declared by the appointment board dated 3.11.2005.
(2.) The petitioner who is a member of OBC category was called for physical test and measurement of height and he was found 170.6 c.m. In November, 2005, a list of fit candidates was published but the name of the petitioner did not figure in the said list.
(3.) Since in spite of representing the authorities, his name was never included in the fit candidates' list, the petitioner has preferred the present writ petition.;
