- (1.) By the order dated 20.10.2003 the Commandant 2 Battalion BSF, Seemanagar (West Bengal) dismissed the petitioner from service. The order of dismissal was served upon the petitioner in the year 2003 itself at his native place Basni Hari Singh, P.S. Bhopalgarh, District Jodhpur. To question correctness of the order aforesaid, this petition for writ was preferred before this Court on 9.4.2012. The writ petition on its face suffers from a delay of more than eight years. No explanation for causing such an inordinate delay is given in the petition for writ. In the absence of adequate explanation, I am not at all inclined to entertain this petition for writ that is preferred to challenge the order passed much back in the month of October, 2003. Being a stale matter, this petition for writ is dismissed.;
