PETITIONER husband is in revision under Article 227 of the Constitution assailing the order dated 6.2.2014 (P -3) passed by the learned Additional District Judge, Amritsar wherein respondent wife in a petition for dissolution of marriage filed by the petitioner husband, has been granted maintenance pendente lite @ Rs. 10,000/ - besides litigation expenses of Rs. 15,000/ -.
(2.) HEARD learned counsel and perused the impugned order. It is not disputed that the respondent is legally wedded wife of the petitioner and he is legally and morally bound to maintain her. It is also not disputed that respondent wife had alleged that petitioner was running two Gun houses. Though, petitioner denied being owner of aforesaid two Gun houses, but in his reply he did not disclose as to who owned those two Gun houses or what is his profession/income. In these circumstances, the learned Additional District Judge, has rightly relied upon the version given by the respondent wife. As regard the grant of maintenance pendente lite, the same cannot be said to be on higher side keeping in view the cost of living these days.
