THE present petition under Section 482, Cr.P.C., has been filed by the petitioners, namely, Jaspal Singh and Gurpreet Kaur, for quashing of FIR No. 54, dated 12.4.2013, for the offence punishable under Sections 323 and 324 read with Section 34, IPC, registered at Police Station, Kalanaur, District Gurdaspur, and all the consequential proceedings arising therefrom, on the basis of compromise.
(2.) VIDE order dated 10.1.2014, the affected parties were directed to appear before the learned Trial Court for getting their respective statements with regard to the compromise recorded. The said Court was also directed to submit a detailed report in that regard along with copies of the statements on or before the date fixed by this Court.

IN compliance of the above, the only injured, Jasbir Kaur, wife of Hardial Singh, and both the petitioners did appear before the learned Judicial Magistrate Ist Class, Gurdaspur, and got recorded their statements with regard to the compromise. The injured, Jasbir Kaur, stated as under: " I have compromised the matter with the accused Jaspal Singh, son of Manjit Singh, and Gurpreet Kaur, wife of Manjit Singh, both residents of Village Kalanaur, Police Station, Kalanaur, with the intervention of respectable persons, in case FIR No. 54, dated 12.04.2013, under Sections 323 and 324 read with Section 34, IPC, registered at Police Station, Kalanaur." Both the petitioners suffered their joint statement, which reads as under: " We have compromised the matter with the complainant, Jasbir Kaur, wife of Hardial Singh, resident of Village Kalanaur, Police Station, Kalanaur, with the intervention of respectable persons, in case FIR No. 54, dated 12.04.2013, under Sections 323 and 324 read with Section 34, IPC, registered at Police Station, Kalanaur.";
