JUDGEMENT

- (1.) The matrix of the facts and material, culminating in the commencement, relevant for disposal of the instant petition and emanating from the record, is that, initially in the wake of complaint of complainant Raj Singh son of Nachhtar Singh-respondent No.2 (for brevity "the complainant"), a criminal case was registered against petitioners-accused Gatta Singh @ Gurdeep Singh son of Babu Singh and others, vide FIR No.50 dated 15.04.2013 (Annexure P-1), on accusation of having committed the offences punishable under Sections 323, 326 and 148 read with Section 149 IPC, by the police of Police Station Talwandi Sabo, District Bathinda.
(2.) During the course of investigation, good sense prevailed and the parties have amicably settled their disputes, by means of compromise/affidavit of complainant dated 25.06.2013 (Annexure P-2) and affidavit of injured Jagjot Singh dated 06.07.2013 (Annexure P-3).

Having compromised the matter, the petitioners-accused have preferred the present petition, to quash the impugned FIR (Annexure P-1) and all other subsequent proceedings arising therefrom, invoking the provisions of Section 482 Cr.PC, inter-alia, pleading that now both the parties have amicably settled their disputes. The petitioners-accused have tendered the apology to the complainant and injured. The complainant & injured have reiterated the factum of compromise by filing their respective affidavits (Annexures P-2 and P-3). They have no objection, in case the criminal case registered against the petitioners-accused, by way of impugned FIR is quashed. On the strength of aforesaid grounds, the petitioners-accused sought to quash the impugned FIR (Annexure P-1) and all other subsequent proceedings arising therefrom, in the manner described hereinabove.;
