The crux of the facts and material, culminating in the commencement, relevant for disposal of the instant petition and emanating from the record, is that, initially in the wake of complaint of complainant Jai Singh son of Krishan Kumar-respondent No.2 (for brevity "the complainant"), a criminal case was registered against the petitionersaccused Atma Singh & Avtar Singh sons of Surjit Singh, vide FIR No.148 dated 22.12.2012 (Annexure P-1), on accusation of having committed the offences punishable under Sections 420 & 406 read with Section 34 IPC, by the police of Police Station Bahawa Wala, District Fazilka.
(2.) During the course of investigation of the case, good sense prevailed and the parties have amicably settled their disputes, by means of compromise dated 27.12.2012 (Annexure P-2) and affidavit of complainant (Annexure P-3).

Having compromised the matter, now the petitioners-accused have preferred the present petition, to quash the impugned FIR (Annexure P-1) and all other subsequent proceedings arising therefrom, invoking the provisions of Section 482 Cr.PC, inter-alia, pleading that now with the intervention of the respectables of the society, the parties have amicably settled their disputes, by virtue of compromise (Annexure P-2). They have removed their all misunderstanding and have no grudge against each other. They want to restore harmony between them. They have already removed their all grievances. The compromise is stated to be in the welfare, benefit and larger interest of the parties. The factum of compromise is also reiterated in the affidavit of complainant (Annexure P-3). The complainant has no objection, if the criminal case registered against the petitioners-accused, by way of impugned FIR (Annexure P-1) is quashed. On the strength of aforesaid grounds, the petitionersaccused sought to quash the impugned FIR (Annexure P-1) and all other subsequent proceedings arising therefrom, in the manner depicted hereinabove.;
