JUDGEMENT
-
(1.) We have perused the writ petition filed as a Public Interest Litigation. The petitioner who appears in person is not present. However, despite his absence, we have seriously endeavoured to understand the grievance raised and the relief(s) sought. Apart from being able to comprehend that the petitioner seeks to check the falling standard of education in Government schools, we have not been able to comprehend the remaining part of the writ petition filed as a Public Interest Litigation. Even though the law of pleadings would apply in a broad perspective to a Public Interest Litigation, there must be some semblance of what are the grievances that are perceived Civil Writ Petition No. 7082 of 2007 and what is the relief sought including the persons who are liable to render such relief. The Public Interest Litigation in question fails to reach any of the above stated minimum standards which would be required if the same is to be adjudicated upon by us.
(2.) Consequently, we are of the view that the present Public Interest Litigation should not be entertained any further. It is accordingly dismissed, however, without any order as to costs.;
