The respondents vide an advertisement dated 18 th March, 2011, which was published on 19 th March, 2011 in various newspapers, published 1000 posts of Assistant Linemen in Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam, including various other posts. Thereafter, a corrigendum dated 6 th April, 2011, which was published in various newspapers on 7 th April, 2011, was issued notifying that the age of the candidates should be between 18 to 35 years instead of 18 to 40 years, as advertised earlier.
(2.) Respondent No.3 further issued a corrigendum dated 1 st July, 2011, according to which the posts of Assistant Linemen were enhanced from 1000 to 4131. According to the first advertisement, the last date for submission of applications was 18 th April, 2011, whereas vide advertisement dated 1 st July, 2011 (Annexure P-3), it was stated that the applications be submitted upto 18 th July, 2011. It was specifically stated that the applicants who have already applied in pursuance of the earlier advertisement dated 18 th March, 2011 need not apply again.
(3.) In the instant writ petition, the petitioners have challenged the advertisement dated 6 th April, 2011, which was published in various newspapers on 7 th April, 2011, whereby the age of the candidates has been amended from 18-40 years to 18-35 years.;
