JUDGEMENT

(1.) Tersely, the facts and material, culminating in the commencement, relevant for disposal of the instant petition and emanating from the record is that, initially in the wake of complaint of complainant-Poonam, daughter of Ram Parkash, respondent No.2 (for brevity "the complainant"), a criminal case was registered against the petitioners-accused Jagjit Singh and another, by means of FIR No.144 dated 09.09.2010(Annexure P-1), on accusation of having committed the offences punishable under Sections 406 and 498-A IPC, by the police of Police Station Garhshankar, District Hoshiarpur.
(2.) After completion of the investigation, the police submitted the challan/final police report in terms of Section 173(2) Cr.P.C. Consequently, the petitioners-accused were accordingly charge-sheeted for the commission of the indicated offences by the trial court and the case was slated for evidence of the prosecution.
(3.) During the pendency of the criminal case, good sense prevailed and the parties have amicably settled their disputes, by way of compromise incorporated in the order dated 25.11.2011(Annexure P-2) of the trial Court and affidavit(Annexure P-3) of the complainant.;
