Tersely, the facts and material, culminating in the commencement, relevant for disposal of the instant petition and emanating from the record is that, initially in the wake of complaint of complainant-Bagga Ram son of Sawarna Ram, respondent No.2 (for brevity "the complainant"), a criminal case was registered against the petitioner-accused Shubham Duggal @ Suvam, by means of FIR No.125 dated 01.10.2011(Annexure P-1), on accusation of having committed the offences punishable under Sections 279, 337, 338 and 427 IPC, by the police of Police Station Bullowal, District Hoshiarpur.
(2.) During the course of investigation of the criminal case, good sense prevailed and the parties have amicably settled their disputes, by way of compromise dated 14.09.2012 (Annexure P-2).

Having compromised the matter, now the petitioner-accused has preferred the present petition, to quash the impugned FIR(Annexure P-1) and all other subsequent proceedings arising therefrom, on the basis of compromise, invoking the provisions of Section 482 Cr.P.C., inter alia, pleading that the parties have amicably settled their disputes without any kind of pressure or coercion. They have redressed their grievances and have decided to live in peace and harmony in future. Both the parties do not want to further pursue the matter. The compromise has been arrived at between them for the welfare of their family members. The complainant has no objection if the present criminal case registered against the petitioner-accused vide FIR(Annexure P-1) is quashed. On the strength of aforesaid grounds, the petitioner-accused sought to quash the impugned FIR(Annexure P-1) and all other subsequent proceedings arising therefrom, in the manner described hereinabove.;
