JUDGEMENT

Kanwaljit Singh Ahluwalia, J. - (1.) PRESENT petition has been filed under Section 482 Code of Criminal Procedure seeking quashing of FIR No. 95 dated 7.10.2010, registered at Police Station Sadar, Kapurthala, under Sections 420, 406 IPC on the ground that the parties have effected compromise. Compromise has been placed on record as Annexure P -2.
(2.) FIR in the present case was lodged by Iqbal Singh. In his statement to the police, he had stated that Anoop Kumar @ Lali and Surinder Pal alias Sonu accused duped him and made him to part with a sum of Rs. 3.50 lacs. It is stated that now the accused have returned the amount and the parties have decided to resolve their dispute amicably. Shri Surinder Singh Kaliraman, Advocate, has caused appearance for the complainant and has filed his affidavit. Counsel for the complainant has submitted that the compromise has been arrived at between the parties and he has no objection if the present FIR is quashed.
(3.) SHRI Mehardeep Singh, State Counsel, on instructions from ASI Joginder Singh, Anti -Fraud Cell, Kapurthala, has identified the complainant Iqbal Singh, who is present in Court. Shri Mehardeep Singh has submitted that factum of compromise has been verified by the Investigating Agency and on the basis thereof, a cancellation report shall be submitted in the Court of concerned Area Judicial Magistrate within 15 days from today.;
