- (1.) Petitioners have filed this petition under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure,1973 seeking quashing of FIR No.121 dated 28.4.2011 under Section 420 of the Indian Penal Code ('IPC' for short) registered at Police Station Civil Lines District Amritsar (Annexure P1) and all consequential proceedings thereto on the basis of compromise between the parties (Annexure P2).
(2.) Learned counsel for the petitioners has submitted that now, with the intervention of relatives and friends, the parties have arrived at a compromise.
(3.) Respondent No.2, who is present in person along with his counsel, has admitted the factum of compromise and has tendered his affidavit wherein he has stated that he has no objection if the FIR in question is ordered to be quashed.;
