JUDGEMENT

Nirmaljit Kaur, J. - (1.) THIS is a petition under Section 482 Code of Criminal Procedure for directing Respondents No. 1 to 3 to protect the life and liberty of the Petitioner and his family members who are facing constant threats at the hands of Respondents No. 4 and 5 and also directing Respondents No. 2 and 3 to take necessary and appropriate action on the complaint dated 18.12.2010 filed before them by the Petitioner.
(2.) LEARNED Counsel for the parties have been heard. Mr. K S Pannu, DAG, Punjab, on instructions from HC -Varinder Singh, states that complaint dated 18.12.2010 (P1) was inquired into and the same has been found to be incorrect. It is further stated that, in case, the Petitioner approaches Respondents No. 2 and 3 along with representation qua threat, if any, the same shall also be inquired into and necessary measures shall be taken. At this stage, learned Counsel appearing for Respondents No. 4 and 5 states that the Petitioner need not have any fear at the hands of Respondents No. 4 and 5.
(3.) IN view of the above, the present petition is disposed of with direction that, in case, the Petitioner still feels threatened at the hands of Respondents No. 4 and 5, he is at liberty to approach Respondent No. 2, who shall look into the threat perceptions and take necessary measures, if so required.;
