- (1.) Present petition has been filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. for quashing of FIR No.160 dated 19.04.2002 registered at Police Station Kotwali, District Bathidna under Sections 452, 323, 325 and 34 IPC on the basis of compromise (Annexure P-2). This petition was listed before a Coordinate Bench of this Court on 18th July, 2011 and the following order was passed: "Heard. The Chief Judicial Magistrate, Bathinda is directed to record the statements of the parties and then sent a report as to whether the alleged compromise has been effected between the parties or not. List again on 04.10.2011."

In pursuance of the order passed on 18th July, 2011, Chief Judicial Magistrate, Bathinda has submitted his report, which reads as under: "I have the honour to submit that the parties appeared before this Court on 08.09.2011 and their statements regarding compromise recorded. The complainant Ashok Kumar son of Roshan Lal has made statement voluntarily that the matter has been compromised between the parties. There is no grudge against each other. The matter has been amicably settled between the parties and he does not want to proceed against accused Sonu Rai and Manish Kumar. He has been identified by Sh.V.P.S. Khurmi, Adv. Both the accused namely Manish Kumar and Sonu Rai also made separate statement to the same effect. In view of the statements of the parties recorded in the Court, it is proved that the compromise has been validly effected between the parties."
(3.) It is stated that the parties are closely related and the petitioners herein are nephews of the complainant-respondent No.2. It is further stated that in order to promote everlasting peace, amity and harmony, the parties have decided to bury their hatchet and have resolved the dispute to maintain cordial relations for all times to come.;
