JUDGEMENT

Nirmaljit Kaur, J. - (1.) THIS is a petition under Section 482 Code of Criminal Procedure for quashing of the order dated 15.06.2010 (P3) passed by the Additional Civil Judicial Magistrate, Jalandhar, declaring the Petitioner proclaimed offender in FIR No. 180 dated 12.04.2006 under Section 406, 420 IPC, registered at Police Station Sadar, Jalandhar.
(2.) IT is contended that the matter has been compromised and the offence against the wife of the present Petitioner in the said FIR has since been compounded. It is further contended that the complainant had accompanied the present Petitioner abroad. Thereafter, the complainant returned back to India and got lodged the said FIR while the Petitioner is still in Kuwait. It is also stated that the present Petitioner is ready to CRM No. M 6791 of 2011 surrender before the trial Court. Taking into account the fact that the matter has been compromised and the Petitioner is ready to surrender before the trial Court, the present petition is disposed of with direction that, in case, the Petitioner surrenders before the trial Court on or before 15.04.2011, he shall be released on bail to the satisfaction of the trial Court. Disposed of accordingly.;
