S.S. Sandhawalia, J. -

(2.) In this judgment of accordance a relatively brief reference to the facts suffices. The appellant was confirmed in the Punjab Forest Service Class II with effect from Aug. 26, 1966. On the constitution of the Indian Forest Service on Oct. 1, 1966, the appellant along with other eligible officers of the Punjab State Forest Service were considered for initial recruitment to the Indian Forest Service. It is unnecessary to advert to the facts pertaining to the Inter se seniority of the appellant with the other members of the State Service with regard to which the relief of an opportunity of hearing has been accorded to him by the learned Single Judge His primary grievance now is that on July 28, 1971, the Union Government issued notification (copy annexed with the petition as annexure 'A') cancelling the appointment order of all the Punjab Forest Officers to the Indian Forest Service. Later on Dec. 11, 1971, a fresh recruitment was made to the Indian Forest Service and the appellant along with others was appointed afresh to the Indian Forest Service with effect from the date, namely, Oct. 1, " 1966. The appellant challenged the aforesaid cancellation vide notification annexure 'A' and its consequential orders by way of writ petition which stands dismissed.;
