Subrata Talukdar, J. - (1.) Party/Parties are represented in the order of their name/names as printed above in the cause title.
(2.) Mr. Bhattacharya, Learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner participated in the selection process to the post of Part-time Homoeopathic Medical Officer (for short the said post) under Deshra-Koalpara Gram Panchayat (for short GP). The petitioner was ultimately found to be second in the final panel of selectees.
(3.) It is alleged that the selection to the said post did not carry with it the obligation on the part of the selectors to hold the interview. Therefore, the petitioner, being admittedly of higher academic merit compared to the private respondent no. 9/ultimate selectee, could not have been manoeuvred out of her first position in the panel on the basis of the academic merit by taking into reckoning the marks in the interview.;
