Subrata Talukdar, J. - (1.) The Commission is represented by Mr. Sandilya, Secretary, West Bengal State Election Commission (Commission).
(2.) It transpires from the Report received from Polerhat - II Gram Panchayat that only one nomination has been filed in each of the 16(sixteen) Constituencies till the 9th of April, 2018. Such submission of the Commission lends some credence to the stand taken by the petitioners that the petitioners, who are 11 (eleven) in number, have been unable to file their nominations inspite of the window of extension granted today by the Commission.
(3.) Mr. Sandilya agrees on behalf of the Commission that steps shall be taken to enable the petitioners to file their nominations provided the nominations/papers are otherwise in order.;
