Samapti Chatterjee, J. - (1.) Let affidavit of service filed in Court today be kept on record.
(2.) The learned advocate for the petitioner submits that having attained the age of superannuation, the petitioner retired from service as a Head Teacher of the concerned school on 30.6.1996. Pension Payment Order was issued in favour of the petitioner on 22.8.2001 and the retirement benefits of the petitioner were released on 1.3.2004.
(3.) Although the petitioner was entitled to payment of arrear pension from the date of retirement of the petitioner, the same was not paid. By presenting this writ petition, the petitioner prays for an order on the respondents to award interest on delayed payment of arrear pension.;
