ANIRUDDHA BOSE, J. - (1.) Affidavit of service filed in Court today be kept on record.
(2.) The writ petitioner seeks correction of his date of birth appearing in the official record maintained by the office of the Superintendent of Police in the district of Cooch Behar. I am of the view that the Superintendent of Police himself may look into the matter in accordance with law and take a decision in that regard. Decision in that regard shall be made within a period of ten weeks from the date of communication of this order upon giving opportunity of hearing to the petitioner. On behalf of the respondents, a point was raised that the petitioner cannot seek correction of his date of birth at the fag of end of his career. That aspect shall be addressed t by the Superintendent of Police while considering the prayer of the petitioner. The decision of Superintendent of Police Cooch Behar shall be communicated to the petitioner within a period of two weeks thereafter.
(3.) The writ petition stands disposed of in the above terms.;
