JUDGEMENT
ASHOKE KUMAR DASADHIKARI, J. -
(1.) The claim and contention of the writ petitioner in this writ petition is that he was working in the Bhatpara Municipality as casual employee since 1997 on a remuneration of Rs. 2,000/- p.m.
(2.) Mr. Chatterjee, learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that his client is continuing in service and is faithfully discharging his duties of which the Municipality is benefited. There are vacancies in the concerned Municipality and the Municipal authorities should regularise the service of the petitioner. However, Mr. Chatterjee admitted that there is no regular selection before such engagement and/or employment.
(3.) Learned Counsel appearing for the Municipality submitted that although an affidavit-in-opposition was used opposing the prayers of the writ petitioner for regularising but the original copy is not available in records. However, the copies were served upon the contesting parties appeared in this matter.;
