DEBASISH KAR GUPTA,J. - (1.) The subject matter involved in this writ application is fixation of scale of pay of the writ petitioner in connection with his service under the West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited.
(2.) It appears that the petitioner was appointed on promotion to the post of Assistant Accountant with effect from April 6, 1977. It further appears from the materials on record that the respondent Nos.5 and 6 were appointed to the above posts on promotion on November 30, 1978 and December 30, 1978 respectively. The scale of pay attached to the above post was Rs. 550-944/-.
(3.) The allegation of the writ petitioner is that he was getting lesser amount of scale of pay than the respondent Nos.5 and 6. After taking the aid of the affidavit-in-opposition, supplementary affidavit thereto and the relevant records supplied to the learned Counsel appearing for the respondents, he is not in a position to give reply to this query. It is submitted by him that in spite of holding a number of conference with the person dealing with this matter no satisfactory answer was given to the above query.;
