DEBASISH KAR GUPTA,J. - (1.) This writ application is directed against an order dated January 10/12, 1983 passed by the Director of Secondary Education, West Bengal, directing the District Inspector of Schools (SE), Hooghly, disapproving the proposal for appointment of the petitioner in the post of an Assistant Teacher of Kotrong Bhupendra Smriti Vidyalaya, Hooghly.

(3.) The petitioner was appointed in the post of a Clerk in the aforesaid school on January 4, 1971. An advertisement dated September 9, 1979 was published by the aforesaid school authority for appointment of an Assistant Teacher in Science Group. Pursuant thereto, the petitioner participated in the selection process. He was appointed by the Managing Committee of the aforesaid school in the post of an Assistant Teacher (Science Group). By virtue of the impugned order, the respondent No. 2 directed the respondent No. 4 not to approve the appointment of the petitioner in the post of Assistant Teacher.;
