JUDGEMENT
Sangeeta Chandra, J. -
(1.) Writ Petition No. 17596 of 2012 has been filed by the petitioners, who are non-selected candidates, praying for a mandamus directing the U.P. Secondary Education Service Selection Board (herein-after referred to as the Selection Board) to re-evaluate/ reassess Answer Nos. 61, 117 of petitioner No. 1 of Question Booklet Series D and re-evaluate/ reassess question Nos. 11, 47 and 89 of petitioner No. 2 of Booklet Series C, for the subject of Sanskrit, and allot marks against the correct answers to such petitioners and to take necessary action declaring such petitioners as selected candidates for the post of T.G.T. (Sanskrit).
(2.) The Selection Board had published an Advertisement No. 1 of 2010 and 257 vacancies were advertised for T.G.T. (Sanskrit), out of which 98 posts were un-reserved. The petitioners took part in the selection, but in the results, which were declared, the petitioners could not be selected.
(3.) In pursuance of an application moved by some of them under Right to Information Act, it come to the knowledge of the petitioners that a wrong Model Answer Key was utilized by the Selection Board for checking the Answer-sheets of the petitioners for certain questions.;
