Heard Mr.K.S.Pawar, Ms.Pushpila Bhist and Mr.S.C.Yadav, learned counsels for the petitioners, Mr.S.K.Kalia, learned Senior Counsel assisted by Mr.Sameer Kalia, learned counsel for the respondents 4 to 9, Mr.Ashutosh Singh, learned Standing Counsel and Mr.Hari Prasad Gupta, learned Advocate as an intervener, who stood in support of the petitioners.
(2.) The petitioners have assailed the seniority list of Group-A Officers of the Agriculture Department of the State of U.P. dated 11 June 2012 as also the promotions of the private respondents, who have been given promotion on the basis of the said seniority list. Writ Petition No.881(SB) of 2012

The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that in the seniority list dated 11 June 2012 the incumbents enlisted at Sl.No.10 to 32 except incumbent at serial no.17, have been promoted in Group-A service on 17 April 2003, in the subsequent selection year who are juniors to the petitioner, therefore, the petitioner is entitled to be placed at Sl.No.10, just below to Mr.Suresh Chandra Pandey and above to Mr.Mukesh Kumar Srivastava. It has also been submitted that the petitioner has not claimed promotion under reservation category.;
