S.S.Sodhi, J. - (1.) The matter here concerns employees of the U. P. State Brassware Corporation Ltd., Moradabad who, on account of the closure of the Unit, have been retrenched from service.
(2.) In this bunch of writ petitions the main issue raised was with regard to the absorption of the petitioners in some alternative employment under the Government consequent upon their retrenchment from service, some petitioners had also sought to challenge their retrenchment.
(3.) The challenge to the retrenchment of the petitioners has however, now been specifically given up by their counsel Mr. B.N. Narain. The only issue that thus survive is with regard to absorption of the retrenched petitioners consequent upon the closure of the Respondent Corporations.;
