- (1.) HEARD the learned counsel for the parties.
(2.) AN advertisement was issued by District Panchayat Raj Officer, Mau inviting applications from eligible candidates for selection and appointment of Safai Karmi from different Gram Panchaytas of Districts Mau. Total 1651 posts were advertised and out of which 346 posts was reserved for scheduled caste category candidates, 34 posts were reserved for scheduled tribe candidates, 445 posts were reserved for other backward class category candidates (OBC) and the remaining 826 posts were open for the general category candidates.
(3.) THE petitioners appeared in the selection and were called for interview. The procedure as prescribed under Group 'D' Employees Service Rules, 1985 was adopted by the authorities on 11.4.2008 for selection of Safai Karmi. After selection result was published and it was alleged that 80 posts remained vacant as the selected candidates did not join and the names of the petitioners find placed in the waiting list and are entitled to be offered appointment.;
