JUDGEMENT

R.H. Zaidi, J. - (1.) Heard learned counsel for the parties.
(2.) By means of this petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, petitioners pray for issuance of a writ, order or direction in the nature of certiorari quashing the order dated 8.12.1992 passed by the Deputy Director of Consolidation, Azamgarh.
(3.) The relevant facts of the case giving rise to the present petition, in brief, are that before the Consolidation Officer the objections were filed under Section 21 of ' the U.P. Consolidation of Holdings Act, 1953, for short 'the Act' by both the parties claiming that their chaks should be allotted on the plots specified by them in their objections.The Assistant Consolidation Officer referred the dispute to Consolidation Officer for decision. Before Consolidation Officer the parties produced evidence in support of their cases. The Consolidation Officer after going through the material on the record allotted the chaks to the parties by judgment and order dated 28.8.1986. Aggrieved by the order passed by the Consolidation Officer both the parties i.e. the petitioners and the contesting respondents have filed appeals before the Settlement Officer Consolidation. The appeal filed by the respondents was partly allowed by judgment and order dated 6.6.1989 and the appeal field by the petitioners was allowed by judgment and order dated 30.10.1992. The contesting respondents challenged the validity of the order dated 30.10.1992 of the Settlement Officer Consolidation and filed a revision before the respondent No. 1. The respondent No. 1 allowed the revision by this judgment and order dated 8.12.1992. Hence the present petition.;
