JUDGEMENT

(1.) Heard learned counsel for the petitioners, learned counsel appearing for the contesting respondent No. 2 as well as learned Standing Counsel and also perused the record.
(2.) By means of this petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, petitioners pray for issuance of a writ, order or direction in the nature of certiorari quashing the judgment and order dated 12.11.1990 passed by the Deputy Director of Consolidation, Fatehpur.
(3.) The present petition arises out of the proceedings under Section 20/21 of the U.P. Consolidation of Holdings Act, for short 'the Act'. It appears that the petitioners filed objection under Section 21 of the Act. Certain other objections were also filed. The objections were decided by the Consolidation Officer in favour of the petitioners, who allotted the chaks to the satisfaction of the petitioners and respondent No. 2. Challenging the validity of the judgment and order passed by the Consolidation Officer Respondent No and others filed an appeal before the Settlement Officer Consolidation. The appeal filed by respondent No and others was allowed by the Settlement Officer Consolidation by judgment and order dated 7.2.1990. Challenging the validity of the judgment and order passed by the Settlement Officer Consolidation contesting respondents No. 2 and 7 filed revisions before the Deputy Director of Consolidation, Fatehpur. The revisions filed by respondents No. 2 and 7 were allowed by the Deputy Director of Consolidation by his judgment and order dated 12.11.1990, hence the present petition.;
