JUDGEMENT

- (1.) The Petitioners, who are working as Assistant Teachers in the Government Inter College, Hamirpur, have filed this petition claiming the following main relief: (i) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing and commanding the Respondents to pay the same salary along with arrears in the same grade and pay scale as the teachers of Model Schools are receiving in Government Colleges without any discrimination and distinction in accordance with the Government Orders as well as extending all benefits in accordance with the judgment and orders dated 30.3.2009 passed by this Hon'ble Court in Writ Petition No. 10665 of 2006 and 13.7.2009 passed in Writ Petition No. 5292 of 1998 (SS) within a time bound schedule as fixed by this Hon'ble Court.

In this contention, Sri Khalil Ahmad Ansari, learned Counsel for the Petitioners has pointed out that though the Petitioners had filed a detailed representation dated 12th October, 2010 before the District Inspector of Schools, Hamirpur and the Director of Education, Allahabad has also sent a communication dated 5th July, 2010 to the District Inspector of Schools for passing an appropriate order, the District Inspector of Schools has not decided the representation filed by the Petitioners and nor the Petitioners have been paid the salary as is being paid to the teachers of Government Model Schools.

Inasmuch as the Petitioners have filed a representation before the District Inspector of Schools, Hamirpur and the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the Respondents states that an appropriate decision shall be taken expeditiously, this petition is disposed of with a direction to the District Inspector of School, Hamirpur to examine the representation filed by the Petitioners in the light of the directions issued by the Court in the various petitions to be placed by the Petitioners and take an appropriate decision expeditiously, preferably within a period of four weeks from the date a certified copy of this order is filed by the Petitioners before the District Inspector of Schools.;
