JUDGEMENT

- (1.) By means of this petition moved under Section 482 Cr. P.C., the applicant/petitioner seeks to quash the summoning order dated 24.12.2012 passed in criminal case no. 926 of 2012 captioned as State vs. Rajendra Bhatia and others, under Sections 332, 353, 452 and 427 IPC and also seek to drop the criminal proceedings initiated in this behalf against the applicant, which proceedings are pending before the Court of ACJM, Kotdwar, Pauri Garhwal.
(2.) A first information report was lodged at PS Kotdwar, District Pauri Garhwal on 5th August, 2012, at the instance of one Kanhaiya Ji Mishra, SDO, U.P.C.L, Kotdwar, which was registered as case crime no. 143 of 2012 as regards offences punishable under Sections 323, 332, 353 and 427 IPC.
(3.) At the very outset, learned counsel for the petitioner/applicant did not press the main relief and made an alternative prayer that the bail application of the petitioner be directed to be disposed of as expeditiously as possible.;
