(1.) Having heard learned Counsel for the parties, it
appears that the revisionist convict Roop Chand was posted
as a Class IV employee in the State Bank of India, Haridwar.
During his tenure, he embezzled an amount worth Rs.
44,172/- of the bank. The matter was reported to the police.
After investigation, chargesheet was submitted against the
accused revisionist. Learned trial court after considering the
entire evidence on record found Roop Chand guilty for the
offences under Section 409, 420, 468 IPC vide its judgment
and order dated 19.7.2006. For these offences, he was
sentenced to various terms of imprisonments, which were
directed to run concurrently.
(2.) Feeling aggrieved, the convict Roop Chand
preferred an Appeal No. 67 of 2006, which was dismissed by
the Sessions Judge, Haridwar vide his judgment and order
dated 26.10.2006. Thus, the judgment and order of the trial
court stood affirmed.
(3.) Feeling disgruntled, the convict revisionist has
preferred the instant revision before this Court.;
