JUDGEMENT

(1.) We are happy to take note of the fact that the members of the Petitioner-Organisations have in response to the appeals made to them from various quarters withdrawn the strike and have resumed work. The learned Attorney General also draws our attention to the statement made by the Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare on the floor of the Rajya Sabha in this connection. We do hope that pursuant to that statement a meaningful dialogue will commence between the office bearers of the Petitioner Associations and the concerned ministry personnel so that the issue can be discussed in a dispassionate manner and sympathetically with a view to finding a solution to the vexed problem. We do hope that such a dialogue would start immediately without loss of time. In order to enable resolution of the dispute through dialogue, counsel for the petitioner Organisations requests this Court to adjourn the matters to the 8th January, 1992. Learned Attorney General also joins him on this request.
(2.) Two other petitions bearing Writ Petition Nos. 683/90 and 1092/90 were adjourned to 6th December, 1991 since the petitioners Association therein were not on strike. However, since the issues which would be discussed would be integrated ones it would be desirable that they too participate in the discussion so that there is no difficulty in the implementation of any final decision that is taken after keeping in mind the inter se interests of various cadres. We, therefore, adjourn these two Writ Petitions also to 8th January, 1992. Let the matters come up on 8th January, 1992.;
