- (1.) Having perused the report submitted by the Chairman, Special Investigation Team, we accede to the prayer made therein and direct that for the present the attachment of Shri Y.C. Modi, (IPS-1984, Assam-Meghalaya) and Dr. K. Venkatesham, (IPS-1988, Maharashtra) shall continue with the SIT for a further period of six months. Necessary intimation in this regard shall be sent to the Union Home Ministry through its Secretary and Chief Secretaries of the States of Maghalaya and Maharashtra.
(2.) The Chairman, SIT may also be informed accordingly.;
