M.P.VENEERS PVT.LTD. Vs. ORIENTAL INSURANCE CO.LTD.

JUDGEMENT

(1.) Aggrieved by the Order dated 14.5.2008 of the MP Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, Bhopal in FA No.1623 of 2005, the Original Complainant M.P. Veneers Pvt. Ltd. has filed this revision petition.

(2.) The petitioner had obtained Marine Open Insurance Open for one year from 5.3.2003 to 4.3.2004 with a total assured sum of Rs. One Crore with a limit of Rs. 25 lacs per transit per location. The policy originally covered any voyage from Betul (M.P.) to JNPT Port -Mumbai.

(3.) The controversy centres around the date of the endorsement i.e. Betul to JNPT Port Free on Board. According to the complainant the application for endorsement was made on 4.6.2003 whereas the insurance company contends that application was made on 4.7.2003.
