In this revision petition, there is challenged to order dated 14.11.2011, passed by State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, Chandigarh (For Short, 'State Commission') vide which appeal of the petitioner/O.P. No. 1 against order dated 22.6.2010, passed by District Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum - I, Chandigarh (For short, 'District Forum') was dismissed.
(2.) Petitioner has prayed for setting aside the impugned order and for his release from the judicial custody, on terms and conditions as may be imposed by the District Forum.

Brief facts are that respondents/complainants filed Consumer (Complaint No. 1102 of 2008) against the petitioner, stating therein that they took admission in the institution of the petitioner for different diploma courses, after depositing admission fee of Rs.5,000. The duration of the diploma course was 2 years. Accordingly, total admission fee, monthly fee and examination fee deposited by each of them was Rs. 48,000. After completing the courses for full duration, respondents came to know through a newspaper report, that petitioner had cheated them and played a fraud with them, as his institute was not recognized. Even a criminal complaint was also lodged against him, by a student. It was further stated that the acts of petitioner amounted to deficiency in rendering service and indulgence into unfair trade practice. When grievance of the respondents was not redressed, a complaint under Section 12 of the Consumer Protection Act, 1986 (for short, 'Act') was filed.
