JUDGEMENT

(1.) HEARD counsel for the parties.

(2.) THE instant writ petition was preferred for direction upon the respondents to release the arrears of salary and other post retiral benefits in favour of the petitioner after considering his due promotion in the post of Reader which had not been paid to him despite repeated demand. Petitioner has also made a case of discrimination viz-a-viz certain other persons.

(3.) THEREAFTER , it was placed before the Syndicate held on 20.06.2008 and vide Resolution NO. 217/08 the Syndicate has approved the promotion of the petitioner w.e.f. 01.01.1991 notified by University Memo no. B/1316/08 dated 25.07.2008 (Annexure B) to the supplementary counter affidavit.
