STATE OF BIHAR Vs. SACHCHIDANAND KESHARI

JUDGEMENT

(1.) PROSECUTION case initiated on Fardbeyan of one Vijay Prasad Keshari P.W.5, inbrief, is that his younger sister Sri Kanti Devi was married with accused Sachidanand Keshari (respondent no. 1) two years ago of her death. After marriage she went to her Sasural.

(2.) ALLEGATION is that accused respondents started to torture for non- fulfilment of demand of dowry of colour T.V, chain of gold or Rs. 25,000/- in cash. Informant along with his brothers came to Sri Kanti Devi's Sasural where they were not allowed to meet her till fulfillment of demand. Subsequently she sent message about regular torture for non-fulfilment of demand of dowry at accused persons' hand. Nature of torture is said assault and non-provision of adequate meal.

(3.) DEFENCE has also examined six witnesses. They are D.W.1 Arjun Mishra, D.W.2 Ram Prasad Singh, D.W.3 Ramautar Singh, D.W.4 Munindar Nath Upadhaya, D.W.5 Munna Prasad and D.W.6 Satyendra Prasad Deshari.
