(1.) MR . R.K. Dutta, S.C. 4 states that a copy of the medical report be given which is required by the C.I.D., investigating the matter. This plea of reports not received though permitted by the Court to have them appears a ruse to delay the investigation. In this context the order dated 27.11.2000 may be seen. Much latitude was shown by the Court in adjourning the case again and again. In this context the order dated 4.12.2000 is reiterated. It appears that attempts are being made by the State Government to whittle down the incidents and events at village Senari, in Jehanabad.
(2.) LEARNED State counsel Mr. R.K. Dutta stated that he has instructions to state that the C.I.D. is questioning the veracity of claims that in the incident the private parts of women received injuries. The Court reminded the State counsel that whoever has instructed him, an impression is being created as if this is the context of the inquiry. Is it so? That women were beaten is not in issue. Who beat them is the inquiry by the Government. The State counsel was asked by the Court to see the photographs (lying sealed) taken when the incident was fresh and the wounds were raw. The photographs are sealed because women are half naked and their modesty is to be protected. Purchasing time to dilute the incident will not render a situation that human rights were not violated.
