- (1.)Petitioner was appointed as Boiler Operator-cum- Lab Assistant, in the pay scale of Rs.950-1800, vide letter dated 24.4.1992, copy Annexure PC, on the establishment of respondent, i.e. Chaudhary Sarwan Kumar, H.P.Krishi Vishwa Vidyalaya. He has filed the present writ petition, seeking the pay scale of Boiler Operator, as according to him, he has been discharging the duties of Boiler Operator. Though there is no post of Boiler Operator in the respondent University and the post is only of Boiler Operator-cum-Laboratory Assistant, petitioner s plea is that he should be given the pay scale of Boiler Operator, as available to the holders of such posts in H.P. University and other Universities. Claim is based on equal pay for equal work .
(2.)Respondents, in their reply, have stated that petitioner was appointed as Boiler Operator-cum-Lab Assistant, in the pay scale of Rs.950-1800, and he has been working in the said pay scale ever since.
(3.)I have heard learned counsel for the petitioner, as also learned counsel, representing the respondents and gone through the record.
