THE prayer made in the writ petition is for issuance of direction to the respondents to grant the petitioner an opportunity of option in the revised pay scales of 1987 and to grant one increment under Rule 4.4 (a) (i) of the CSR Vol I Part I on promotion to the post of S.S. Master with all consequential benefits.
