- (1.) Petitioners namely Sonu Singh son of Surinder Singh and Deep Singh son of Harbhajan Singh have filed the present revision petition against the judgment dated 15.7.2015 passed by learned Additional Sessions Judge, Ludhiana, whereby appeal filed by the petitioners against the judgment of conviction and order of sentence dated 7.12.2011 passed by Judicial Magistrate Ist Class, Ludhiana has been dismissed. Learned Judicial Magistrate Ist Class, Ludhiana has convicted and sentenced the petitioner as under:- All the sentences shall run concurrently.
(2.) There seems to be a typographical mistake in the order of sentence passed by the trial Court, as the amount of fine has been mentioned as Rs.500/- in figures, whereas in words, it is mentioned as Rs.1,000/- in words. However, as per custody JUDGEMENT_315_LAWS(P&H)10_2015_1.html

Briefly stated, the case of the prosecution is that on 31.7.2009, Tara Singh, driver, and Swaranjit Singh, conductor, gave an application along with medical slip No.709 of 28.7.2009 of Tara Singh and slip No.707 of Swaranjit Singh, to the effect that Swaranjit Singh, conductor No.140, is working in Punjab Roadways Depot, Ludhiana. On 27.7.2009 at about 7.50, when they left in bus for Mankiran Sahib and crossed Gill Chowk after taking passengers, then a mini bus No.PB-10-AD-7867 was already standing in front of their bus and many buses were behind their bus. He asked the conductor of the mini bus to move his bus to a side as they wanted to move their bus. However, the conductor did not move his bus, which led to altercation. Then the complainant-respondent no.3 asked the driver of the mini bus to move the bus. In the meantime, two Hindu boys came down from the mini bus and started beating him. On this, driver Tara Singh, respondent no.2, came to rescue him. Then the conductor of the mini bus caught hold of the arms of Tara Singh and the driver of the mini bus also came there. They all four started beating them. Then the passengers also reached at the spot. Gurcharan Singh Sandhu and other staff members rescued him. They caught the driver and conductor of the mini bus, but the other boys who were beating them, fled away from the spot.;
