JASWINDER KAUR Vs. STATE OF PUNJAB AND OTHERS

JUDGEMENT

(1.) Through the present petition, filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (for short "the Code") Jaswinder Kaur, petitioner, has prayed for issuance of direction to respondent No. 1 to hand over investigation of DDR No. 06 dated 13.2.2012 registered at Police Station Machhiwara to the Central Bureau of Investigation, Chandigarh.

(2.) The facts in brief are that Kiranpreet Kaur daughter of Jarnail Singh resident of village Rurewal, Post Office Jodhowal, Tehsil Samrala District Ludhiana died on 12.2.2012 which led to giving information by her father Jarnail Singh and DDR No. 6 dated 13.2.2012 was recorded. As per the contents of the report, Kiranpreet Kaur died due to accidental fire in his house when other family members were away from the house. Inquest proceedings were conducted on the dead body by ASI Barjinder Singh.

(3.) Dead body was got post mortem examined from Civil Hospital, Machhiwara.
