JUDGEMENT

(1.) Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and learned Standing Counsel for respondent no. 1.

(2.) The petitioners are seeking directions upon the Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, District Mathura for the payment of compensation to the petitioner no. 2 under the provisions of Uttar Pradesh Victim Compensation Scheme, 2014.

(3.) It appears that a Sessions Trial No. 368 of 2017 under Sections 498-A, 307 and 326-A I.P.C. and 3/4 Dowry Prohibition Act is pending before the Additional Sessions Judge/F.T.C. I, Mathura. The said court has recommended to the District Legal Services Authority for the payment of compensation to the petitioner no. 2 vide letter dated 8.12.2017.
